Get to know us
Assured Insurance Brokers Limited has served Kenyan businesses and individuals for over four decades with a commitment that remains radical in our industry: your interests come first, not ours. Founded in 1984 during Kenya's post-independence economic expansion, we've evolved from a boutique brokerage into a strategic risk management partner trusted by leading corporations, financial institutions and discerning individuals across East Africa. While the insurance industry has largely remained transactional, we built our reputation on a different principle: insurance should actually work when you need it.
Our Mission
We empower Kenyan businesses and individuals to operate with confidence by providing expert risk assessment, bespoke insurance solutions, and unwavering support throughout the insurance lifecycle. We exist to restore trust in an industry often damaged by misaligned incentives—proving that ethical, client-first broking is both right and sustainable.
Our Vision
To be East Africa’s most trusted insurance advisory partner, recognized not for transaction volume but for transforming complex business risks into strategic advantages through innovation, rigorous analysis, and relentless client advocacy.
Our Core Values

Client-First Advocacy:
We acknowledge what the industry denies: structural conflicts exist when brokers earn commissions from insurers while advising clients. We address this through radical transparency and maintaining independence from any single insurer relationship. Our reputation rests on instances where we advised clients against purchasing coverage that would have generated commission but failed to address actual risks
Intellectual Rigor:
Every client engagement begins with comprehensive risk profiling that often identifies exposures clients didn't recognize and coverage gaps in existing programs. Our proprietary platform institutionalizes this analytical rigor, transforming broker intuition into systematized intelligence.
Relentless Transparency:
We proactively explain what policies DO NOT cover, identify exclusions and sub-limits that could create claim disputes, and present coverage limitations in plain language before clients purchase. This approach occasionally costs us immediate sales when clients choose cheaper policies elsewhere, but it creates long-term relationships built on trust rather than misunderstanding.
Adaptive Innovation:
Kenya's risk landscape transforms continuously. We operate proactively by identifying emerging risks, engaging underwriters to develop coverage solutions and deploying technology that makes previously uneconomical business segments viable.
Ethical Integrity:
AIBL maintains an unblemished regulatory record across 41 years. Zero penalties, zero client complaints escalated to IRA, zero instances of misrepresentation or commission impropriety. We decline business we cannot service properly, refuse to place coverage with financially unstable underwriters regardless of commission incentives, and maintain professional standards even when competitive pressures reward corner-cutting.
Multi-Market Competition
We engage 3–5 underwriters for every client instead of relying on preferred insurers. This competitive bidding approach creates genuine market tension, delivering 15–25% premium savings and better coverage terms. Our process includes a comparative analysis of price, coverage limits, exclusions, and claims service to ensure clients receive optimal value and protection.
Transparent Coverage Analysis
We prioritize honest and proactive communication by clearly explaining what policies don’t cover—including exclusions, waiting periods, and sub-limits. We identify coverage gaps that others overlook, ensuring clients make informed choices. Though this approach may sacrifice short-term sales, it builds long-term trust and client loyalty.

Our Approach
Aggressive Claims Advocacy via DCSA
Our Datum Claims Settling Agency (DCSA) ensures insurance delivers real results. We handle claims through forensic documentation, active negotiation, and escalation when needed, achieving a 92% recovery rate, 21-day average settlements, and 95% resolution without litigation—far exceeding industry standards. This strong advocacy drives our 95%+ client retention rate.
Independent Underwriter Relationships
We maintain independence by working with 10+ underwriters, with no single insurer holding more than 25% of our business. This freedom allows us to negotiate better terms, challenge unfair denials, and align coverage with client needs—not commissions. We reject volume bonuses to remain fully client-focused and unbiased.

From our headquarters in Upper Hill, Nairobi, AIBL serves clients across Kenya and the East African Community. We maintain a lean, technology-driven structure that prioritizes expertise and responsiveness over physical branches.
Our forward vision is to build Kenya’s first truly client-first brokerage proving that integrity, technology, and advocacy can redefine the insurance experience for all.

Our Leadership
Our leadership combines decades of insurance expertise with modern innovation to deliver trusted, client-focused risk solutions.
With 47 years of insurance industry experience, Anne founded Assured Insurance Brokers on a principle that was and remains revolutionary. The broker's fiduciary duty runs to the client, not the insurer. Anne's career spans underwriting, claims management and brokerage leadership. Her deep relationships across Kenya's insurance and regulatory landscape provide unparalleled access and advocacy capability when complex claims require intervention at the highest levels. Under her stewardship, AIBL has maintained a 95%+ client retention rate. Remarkable in an industry where brokers average 3-7 year client relationships. This longevity stems from consistent delivery: when losses occur, Anne ensures policies perform as promised.
